A daily revolution The inspiration for our Wysips® components came from the study of lenticular images, which allow observers to see different images depending on the viewing angle.
When micro-lenses are combined with two flat, layered images, the eye sees alternatively one image or the other, according to the observer’s position. These layered images can be used to produce 3D or animated effects. Some 3D screens operate using “lenticular” technology.
Wysips® uses the optical effect generated by the lenticular network to mask the power-producing photovoltaic cells and capture energy from artificial light or the sun.
“Yield and transparency : the market pushes for those performances and new functionnalities. Tomorrow’s world begins today; given its stockpile of on-board items, it will need clothing, luggage etc. capable of generating the energy used to power all of those nomad electronics!”

Sunpartner Group is revolutionizing our daily life with Wysips®, a technology that can transform any medium into a surface that produces energy from a natural or artificial light source.
Using the unprecedented combination of optical and photovoltaic properties, the Group has produced an ultra-thin, transparent component.
Together with thinness (0.5 millimeters or less), its two major advantages are power and transparency. It can already generate 5.8 milliwatts-peak per cm2; we are working to double that amount by 2014 using second-generation photovoltaic materials involving organic semi-conductor polymers. Since 2012, we have attained a 90% transparency rate.
Wysips Crystal®: the economical mobile screen
By bonding an ultrathin photovoltaic layer to a network of micro-lenses, Wysips Crystal® is designed to be incorporated in screens and adapted to every technology: MEMMS, bistable, LCD, OLED, optical screen, etc.
Integrated during the manufacturing process, below or on top of the touchscreen, it is connected to an electronic chip that converts and manages the energy produced. The photovoltaic component is recharged along with the device battery by exposure to natural sunlight or artificial light.
Our R&D has succeeded in achieving a 90% transparency rate. Our technology has no effect on visual quality or screen functions and is therefore optimal for the touchscreens of smart phones. It also increases the viewing angle of screens on small devices.
Wysips Cameleon®: small and large intelligent display
Based on the same principle as Wysips Crystal®, Wysips Cameleon® differs by its applications, which concern all types of static, i.e. non-animated, communication surfaces.
Our technology does not affect visual quality or medium functions. It is specifically suited to outdoors display applications (billboards, store signs, etc.), road signs, and camouflage, e.g. noise barriers or façades, and images (brands, mobile device covers, etc.).
Wysips Cameleon® can be used to equip display structures of any shape or size up to 2 m².
Wysips Glass®: new generation windows
The aim of Wysips Glass® is to enable windows to produce enough energy to supply any type of device found in a building, a car, an airplane, a boat, etc.
Its remarkable transparency rate (more than 70%) preserves the quality of the window regardless of its size.
Based on the current state of our research, we are already aiming to achieve a 30 Watt-peak per m² under standard conditions, depending on the photovoltaic material used.
Wysips Textile®: the fabrics of the future
For a long time, our research team worked on incorporating a photovoltaic surface in textiles for applications such as technical clothing and buildings: awnings, tents, stadium covers, etc. However, bonding completely different materials failed to guarantee enough resistance to the specific constraints on these applications (flexibility, ability to withstand extreme weather, extended lifespan, etc.).
We now propose an alternative technology that incorporates photovoltaic fibers in the fabric structure, currently under development by a consortium. The weave will preserve the color and texture of the fabric while producing energy to power local applications. Wysips Textile® will be perfectly suited to industrial textiles used in buildings, vehicles or temporary outside installations.
